Abstract
Methotrexate (MTX), as an essential drug in Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia´s treatment (ALL), can cause neurotoxicity, including a very rare presentation such as Stroke-like Syndrome. We describe 2 cases of pediatric patients who presented this pathology during the application of Methotrexate phase of the ALLIC GATLA 2010 protocol. They reversed quickly, ruling out leukemic involvement of the central nervous system (CNS), thrombosis or bleeding. The following is a review of the pathophysiology of methotrexate neurotoxicity, clinical features, MRI and literature´s review.
